Passed away peacefully at Parkwood Mennonite Home on Tuesday, February 6, 2018 at the age of 83 years.
Katie is survived by her sister Mary Dyck, her nieces and nephews Monica Williams, John Dyck, Edward (Beverley) Balzer, Esther (Robert) Penfold and David (Violet) Balzer as well as several great nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by her beloved husband Peter Wiens, sister Margaret (Nicholas) Balzer, brother John (Rita) Dyck, nephew Henry Dyck and her parents Jacob and Marie (nee Bueckert) Dyck.
Katie was a long-time member of W-K United Mennonite Church, Waterloo
Friends are invited to share their memories of Katie during visitation at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King St. S., Waterloo on Saturday, February 10, 2018 from 9-10:45 am. The funeral service will be held in the chapel of the funeral home at 11:00 am with Pastor Ben Cassels officiating. A reception will follow in the Fireside Reception Room. Interment at Mount Hope Cemetery, Waterloo.
