<h1>Raymond Albert Durrer</h1> Raymond Durrer 1935 – 2006 Raymond passed away peacefully, at K-W Health Centre of Grand River Hospital, on September 8, 2006 in his 71st year. Ray was born in Mildmay ON, September 14, 1935. Ray worked as a carpenter his entire life and enjoyed playing horseshoes and cards. He had a passion for gardening and loved spending time with family and friends at home and at the cottage. Ray was an active member of St. Michael’s Catholic Church as well as a member of the Knights of Columbus, Waterloo. Ray will be sadly missed by his beloved wife Pat (nee: Missere) of 46 years, his children, Chris and her husband Brad Walden of Waterloo, Steve and his wife Tracy Durrer of Cambridge, grandchildren, Danika, Curtis and Katie Walden, Brad and Leah Durrer. He will be missed by his brothers, Len, Stan, Harold and his wife Madeline, Lorne and his wife Fran, and his sisters, Dorothy and her husband Albert Luft, Betty and her husband Gerald Borho. Ray will be missed by his brothers and sisters-in-law, Bob and Marilyn Missere, Mil and Jerry Hesch, Art and Rose Missere, Larry Missere, Hilary Missere, Dave and Pat Missere, Theresa and Bill Pratt. He will also be missed by many nieces, nephews, friends and neighbours. Ray was predeceased by his parents Nicholas and Mary (nee: Goetz) Durrer, brothers Jerome and Frank, sister Alice, sisters-in-law Marie, Reta, Terry and Vi, and his brother-in-law Frank Haelzle. Friends are invited to share their memories of Ray with his family during visitation at the Erb &amp; Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King Street South, Waterloo on Saturday, September 9, 2006 from 7-9 pm and Sunday, September 10 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. Parish prayers will be held at the funeral home Sunday evening at 8:30 pm. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Michael’s RC Church, corner of University Ave. West and Hemlock Street, Waterloo on Monday, September 11 at 11:00 am. Interment will follow at Parkview Cemetery followed by a reception at the Parish Hall.
