<h1>Harold Thompson</h1> 1943 – 2006 Of Hawkesville, passed away peacefully, on Friday, September 8, 2006 with his family at his side, at the age of 63. Beloved husband of Nancy Cole, dear father of Tracy Thompson (Mark) of Kitchener, loved step-father to Cindy (Steve) Foster of Linwood, Liz (Terry) Frey of Hawkesville, Popy to Justin and Cameron Silliker, Laura, Jen and Craig Foster, and Stacey and Cass Frey. Mac is also survived by one brother William (Nyla) Thompson and family of Wheatley. He will be missed by sisters-in-law Fran (Dave) Sandrock and family and Mary Cole all of Waterloo. Also his cousin Merv (Maxine) Thompson and family of Wheatley, who were always there and were great friends. He was predeceased by his parents Ola and Harvey Thompson and a brother Robert Thompson all of Wheatley. Thank you to all the nurses from Oncology at Grand River Hospital and thank you to Tina, Heather, Jane and Sandi for all their help, it made the time easier. A special thank you is extended to Dr. Peter Whitby and Barb for all their support and help. Cremation has taken place and a Memorial Service will be held at Hawkesville Mennonite Church, 15 Martha Street, Hawkesville, on Friday, September 15, 2006 at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Perry Bartel officiating. Following the service friends and relatives are invited to the church hall for refreshments and a time to visit with the family. In lieu of flowers, condolences to the family and donations to the Hawkesville Mennonite Church or the Grand River Regional Cancer Centre can be arranged through the Erb and Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King Street South, Waterloo 519-745-8445 or www.erbgood.com or at the church prior to the service. In living memory of Mac, a tree will be planted through the Trees for Learning Program by the funeral home.
