<h1>Tekla Preston</h1> 1908 – 2006 After a long and gracious life, Tekla died on Sept 21, at Columbia Forest Long Term Care. She was in her 98th year. Tekla will be lovingly remembered by her two daughters and their husbands, Gail and Terry Wilder of Waterloo and Linda and Dr. Ian Irvine of Clarksburg On. Her grandchildren held a special place in her heart, Kelly Snow (Bert), Andrew Wilder (Lori), Christopher Wilder (JJ), Catherine Irvine (Florian), and Timothy Irvine (Kristy). She is also lovingly remembered by 3 great-grandchildren, Alexander Snow and Preston and Haley Wilder. Tekla was predeceased by her husband Durward Preston “Pres” in 1991; one brother and three sisters. Tekla was a longtime member of First United Church in Waterloo and active in the United Church Women. Friends are invited to share their memories of Tekla with her family at the Erb &amp; Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King Street South, Waterloo, on Tuesday, Sept 26, 2006 from 12 noon to 12:45 p.m. The funeral service to celebrate her life and faith will follow in the chapel of the funeral home at 1 p.m., Tuesday, with Rev. Rick Hawley officiating. Immediately following the service in the chapel, friends and relatives are invited to a reception at the funeral home for refreshments and a time to visit with the family. Interment will follow in Parkview Cemetery, Waterloo. The Family wishes to thank the Staff at Watson House, Columbia Forest for taking such good care of Tekla. Everyone was extremely kind.
