<h1>Karl Schneider</h1> 1934 – 2006 Karl passed away, peacefully, after a lengthy illness, at Freeport Health Centre of Grand River Hospital, on Friday, November 10, 2006, at the age of 72. Beloved husband of Carmen for 41 years. Loving father of Marilyn and husband Brad Lacey and Carolyn and husband Adam Smith. A wonderful grandpa to Julie, Amy and Eric Lacey and Carter and Jada Smith. Survived by his sister Lotte Zahner of Germany. Karl will be missed by his many friends. Before retiring, Karl had been employed by General Motors in Scarborough. He enjoyed stamp collecting, bird watching and nature, and wood carving. A special thanks to the staffs of Grand River Hospital Dialysis Unit, the Grand River Regional Cancer Centre, Community Care Access Centre, the Red Cross and the Hospice of Waterloo Region, for their care and support. A thank you is also extended to Dr. Lana Tan, Dr. Rosenstein, Dr. Knight, and Dr. Williamson. According to Karl’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A memorial service to celebrate his life will be held in the chapel of the Erb &amp; Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King St. S.,Waterloo, on Saturday, November 18, 2006 at 11 a.m. A reception will immediately follow the service. Interment at Memory Gardens, Breslau.
