<h1>Alex Cowan</h1> 1940 – 2007 Passed away surrounded by his loving family, at St. Mary’s General Hospital, on Wednesday, April 11, 2007 at the age of 66 years. Born and raised in Whiteabby, Northern Ireland, moved to K-W in 1970 where he raised his three children and worked locally as a carpenter. He loved all sports but his passion was for the Glasgow Rangers. Besides his beloved wife Brenda of 37 years, Alex is survived by his loving children, Janet Dunlea and husband Noel, Robin Schmidt and husband Calvin, Wes Mazur and Fiancé Sarah. He will be forever remembered as “Papa” to his cherished grandchildren Owen, Nathan, and Sophia. Alex is also survived by his sister Sarah McCullough and her husband William and their children Mark and Lisa as well as brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law in Belfast. Friends and family are invited to a wake to celebrate Alex’s life at the Waterloo Inn, 475 King Street North, Waterloo on Sunday, April 15, 2007 from 2-4 pm.
