Obituary of Gerard Joseph Edouard Le Blanc

Gerry passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family, at University Gates, Waterloo on Saturday, October 15, 2016 at the age of 88. Loving husband of Rose Marie (nee Fougere) for 63 years. Best Dad in the world to daughters, Lynne Sonser and her husband Frank and Kelly Fasan and her husband Ed. Awesome Grandpa to Chris (Emily), Sheena Witzel (Kyle), Jeff (Rebecca), Vince, Carmen and Great-Grandpa to Noah, Luke, Hudson, and William. He will be fondly remembered by his sisters-in-law, brother-in-law and many nieces and nephews as "Uncle Butch" Predeceased by his parents Blair and Aurelie (nee Belliveau) and three sisters Marguerite, Anna and Bernadette. Gerry retired from Kaufman Footwear in Kitchener after 34 years of dedicated service. He enjoyed bowling and volunteered for over 10 years for YBC at Victoria Bowl coaching his daughters and many children the skills and fun of bowling. An active member of St. John's RC Parish for over 30 years. Gerry enjoyed a good game of crib with a can of coke and a handful of peanuts. He loved all his children and was very proud of all of them. Relatives and friends are invited to share memories of Gerry during a memorial visitation at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King St. S., Waterloo on Saturday, October 22, 2016 from 12:30 – 1:15 p.m., followed by a memorial service in the Funeral Home Chapel at 1:30 p.m. A reception will immediately follow in the funeral home's Fireside Room. Cremation has taken place. Interment at Williamsburg Cemetery, Kitchener will follow the reception.
