Obituary of Hilda Augusta Gutscher

GUTSCHER, Hilda Augusta Surrounded by her family, Hilda passed away peacefully following a lengthy illness, at St. Mary’s Hospital, Kitchener at the age of 74 years. Hilda is survived by her beloved husband Ken of 48 years, her children Brad (Chyanne) Gutscher, Shannon (Randy) Higgins, Kyle (Paola) Gutscher, and her six grandchildren Natasha, Nolan, Morgan, Cameron, Anthony and Lucas. She is also survived by her brothers and sisters, Don, Bruce, Greg, Nancy, Monica, Augusta, Carol and Marie as well as Ken’s siblings and family members. Predeceased by her siblings Fergus and Marjorie. Hilda worked at Smiles ‘n Chuckles and after raising her children, she worked at Zehrs in the bakery for many years. Friends are invited to share their memories of Hilda with her family during visitation at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King St. S., Waterloo, on Thursday, January 12, 2017 from 1-4 & 6-9 p.m. Parish Prayers will be held at 7:30 p.m. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Mark’s RC Church, 55 Driftwood Drive, Kitchener on Friday, January 13 at 11:00 am followed by a reception in the Parish Hall. Cremation and interment will take place at a later date.
