Obituary of Hilbert Theodore Lemp

Lemp, Hilbert Theodore May 9, 1926 – February 4, 2017 After a lengthy battle with Parkinson’s disease, Hilbert passed away at Parkwood Mennonite Home. Survived by his wife of 70 years, Eileen ( nee – Schafer ) . Father of Barbara Groves ( Steve ) , Randy ( Marie Therese ) , Bradley, and predeceased by Robert in 1966. Proud grandfather of Brett Groves ( Vicki ), Scott Groves ( Deana ), Aaron Lemp, Maryse Lemp, Proud great grandfather to Emily and Natalie. Sadly missed by sisters Erma, Gertrude and Millie and brother Alfred. Also predeceased by his parents Wilfred and Clara ( Wagner ) also by siblings Eldon , Carl and Verda. Hilbert was a long time employee of Uniroyal. Friends are invited to share their memories of Hilbert with his family during visitation at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King St. S., Waterloo on Tuesday February 7, 2017 from 6-9 p.m. Visitation continues Wednesday February 8, 2017 from 10-11 a.m . The funeral service will follow at 11 a.m. in the funeral home chapel. Rev. Fred Ludolph officiating. Reception to follow in the Fireside Room of the funeral home. Interment at Mt. Hope Waterloo.
