Obituary of Ralph John Murphy

Passed away at A.R. Goudie Eventide Home, Kitchener, on Monday, February 6, 2017, at the age of 95. Dear brother of Tom and his wife Joan of Vancouver and the late Arthur (2012) and his wife Helen of Kitchener. Much loved uncle and great-uncle to many. Predeceased by his parents John and Mildred Murphy, brother Bill and sisters, Mary Krpan, Margaret LaViolette, Mildred Murphy, Eleanor Gaffney and Elizabeth Grace. In Ralph’s early years he farmed near Dublin, Ontario before embarking on a life long journey with Looby Construction, where he oversaw the building of countless bridges across Ontario’s highway system. After his retirement, Ralph became a familiar face at the Breithaupt Community Centre where many friendships were formed over games of snooker. He was also a long time parishioner of St. Teresa’s RC Church, Kitchener. Relatives and friends are invited to share memories of Ralph during visitation at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King St. S., Waterloo on Thursday, February 9, 2017 from 1 – 4 p.m. with Parish Prayers at 3:45 p.m. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Anne’s RC Church, 268 East Avenue, Kitchener on Friday, February 10, 2017 at 11 a.m., with Rev. Tom Moisan as Celebrant. Interment to follow at Woodland Cemetery, Kitchener.
