Elizabeth Kinat

Obituary of Elizabeth Kinat

Elizabeth passed away peacefully, holding her daughter's hand and surrounded by her grandchildren, at K-W Hospital on Saturday, March 4, 2017 at the age of 77 years. Survived by her daughter Sandra (Lloyd) McGill, cherished Nana to Timothy, Annie and Laura. Also survived by her sisters and brother, Norma (the late Chester) Cluett, Ethel (the late Elmer) Nentwig all of Kitchener, Ronald (Sue) Tucker of Vancouver and Jean (Don) Marshall of Waterloo as well as her Aunt Mildred McKinnon of Uxbridge Massachusetts and nieces and nephews Gary, Wendy, David, Richard, Perry, Peter, AnnMarie, Jim and their families. Elizabeth loved to travel and had a passion for sewing (or collecting fabric!). She loved wearing hats and bringing out her inner Queen Elizabeth. Her most cherished trips were when she took her grandchildren across Canada on the train. We are devastated she is no longer with us but we are comforted knowing she is in heaven walking, talking and laughing again…no doubt wearing a hat! Friends are invited to share their memories of Elizabeth with her family during visitation at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King St. S., Waterloo on Tuesday, March 7, 2017 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, March 8 at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of the funeral home. A reception will follow in the Fireside Reception Room. Cremation and interment will take place at a later date. Condolences for the family and donations to the Alzheimer Society or the Humane Society may be arranged through the funeral home at www.erbgood.com or 519-745-8445.
