Obituary of Catherine Morrison

Morrison, Catherine Marie (nee) Buckley a.k.a. Baba 1932-2017 Passed away peacefully at her residence at People Care A. R. Goudie Home in Kitchener at the age of 85. Marie was predeceased by her first husband, Edward Buckley and her second husband, Wallace Morrison. Loving mother of Diana Ibbotson, Dale Russell, Louise Wallace (Shane), and Dan Buckley (Trixie) all of Kitchener. Dear grandmother of Tammy Reiner, Corrina Lidstone, Ryan Ibbotson, Jessica Russell-Flynn, Alana Russell, Melissa McHugh, Lindsay Hunter, Kyle Buckley , Katie Buckley, Sarah and Amy Mitchell. Great-grandmother of Todd Reiner, Tyler Reiner, Jack McHugh, Liam McHugh, Lilly McHugh, Thomas Lidstone, Richard Lidstone, Jason Lidstone, Jackson Flynn, Wesley and Jacob Ibbotson. Fondly remembered by her sisters, Noreen Sweeney and Helen McCormick (Bud). Predeceased by her parents William and Margaret Kenny, two brothers, infant daughter Elaine, son-in-law Gary Russell, as well as her brother-in-law Bernard. Marie was a dedicated employee of B.F Goodrich and the Waterloo District School Board in the cafeteria for many years. Marie devoted 35 years to the Catholic Women’s League of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church. Marie was a 30-year subscriber to the Kitchener Rangers and volunteered for the Canadian Cancer Society. Marie was also a nanny for the Swanson family and their three daughters for 14 years until her retirement. Friends are invited to share their memories of Marie with her family during visitation at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King St. S., Waterloo on Wednesday, March 15, 2017 from 12 p.m. - 2 p.m. The funeral service will follow at 2 p.m. in the Funeral Home Chapel. Cremation to follow. A reception will be held in the Fireside Room of the funeral home following the service.
