Obituary of Alice Lamarre

Lamarre, Alice (nee Bobroski) 1936-2017 Passed away peacefully, following a courageous battle with cancer, at Lisaard House, Cambridge on Friday, March 17, 2017 at the age of 80 years. Predeceased by her beloved parents Joseph Bobroski in 1995 and Hilda (nee Kizinkewicz) in 2005 and her son David Homer in 2013. Alice will be lovingly remembered by her daughters and son-in-law Susan Homer (John Gallivan) and Laura Homer and Nana will be greatly missed by her grandchildren Sean, Brianna, Devon, Emily and Nicole as well as three great-grandchildren Cayden, Storm and Jade. Born in Endeavour, Saskatchewan, Alice attended school in Yorkton, SK. The family moved to Ontario and she attended nursing school at Toronto General Hospital. This love of caring for people led Alice to work in nursing homes, primarily with Pinehaven Nursing Home where she worked for over 20 years. Friends are invited to share their memories of Alice with her family during visitation at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King St. S., Waterloo on Wednesday, March 22, 2017 from 11:30 a.m. – 12:15 p.m. The funeral service will follow at 12:30 p.m. in the chapel of the funeral home. A reception will immediately follow in the Fireside Reception Room and a private family interment will take place at Memory Gardens Cemetery.
