Obituary of Eileen Laing

Eileen passed away peacefully at Belvedere Heights Home for the Aged, Parry Sound, ON, Saturday, April 1, 2017. She was in her 98th year. Loving mother to Suzanne Pausner (Al Edward) of Parry Sound, and grandmother of Jay Pausner (Amanda Warwick) of Owen Sound and Tim Pausner (Paulette Sopoci) of Toronto. Very proud great-grandmother “GG” to Emma & Jacob, and Jack & Avery. Predeceased by her beloved husband Frederick Laing, daughter Judith Marie Brunton, son-in-law Jack Pausner, parents Joseph and Mildred Jay, brother Leon and her sister Mary Smith Burton. Eileen was a long-time member of St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church and Westmount Golf and Country Club. She had a passion for life and family and devoted her time to helping others. Eileen enjoyed gardening, playing bridge with friends, and travelling. Eileen counted her blessings with gratitude and made sure to laugh every day. Eileen’s family would like to extend its sincerest gratitude and thanks to all staff at Belvedere for their love and care over the last decade. Cremation will take place and a private family interment will be held at Woodland Cemetery, Kitchener.
