Obituary of Helen Elizabeth Keller

Passed away peacefully at Freeport Health Centre of Grand River Hospital on Thursday, April 13, 2017, in her 90th year. Loving wife of the late Daniel Keller (2001). Cherished mother of Tom (deceased-2009) (Dianne), Paul (Lois), David (Jane) and Dale (Rose Marie). Dear grandmother of Erica, Patrick, Nathan, Jessica, Caitlin, Amanda, Angela, Michelle and Shane Jenkins (of Calgary). Will be fondly remembered by her 5 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents, James and Ella (nee Goessell) Courtney and brothers Ivan, Gerald and Ken. Helen was a long-time parishioner of St. Francis of Assisi RC Church, where she was active with the choir and the CWL. A dedicated volunteer at St. Mary’s Hospital for many years. Relatives and friends are invited to share memories of Helen during visitation at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King St. S., Waterloo on Tuesday, April 18, 2017 from 7-9 p.m. with Parish Prayers at 8:45 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St Francis of Assisi RC Church, 49 Blueridge Ave., Kitchener on Wednesday, April 19, 2017 at 10 a.m., with Rev. Joseph de Viveiros, CR as Celebrant. Interment will follow at Parkview Cemetery, Waterloo and a reception will be held in the parish hall.
