Obituary of John Kliewer

Passed away peacefully with his family by his side at Hospice Wellington on Thursday, June 8, 2017, age 79.

Loving husband of Hermine for 55 years.  Dear father of Ed (Christine), Helmut (Kim) and Nancy (Rob) Daigle.  Cherished grandfather of Matthew, Samantha, Eric and Natalie.  Will be fondly remembered by his brother Ewald (Helen) Kliewer and sister Hedy Kopeschny; sister-in-law Luise Kliewer and many nieces and nephews.

Predeceased by his parents Henry and Nella Kliewer, brothers Henry and Jake, and sisters Anna, Mary (Bill) Goertz; brother-in-law Vic Kopeschny.

John was a longtime member of W-K United Mennonite Church.  He had his own plastering business before starting to work at Ornamental Mouldings in 1965.  He worked there for 30 years before retiring. He then enjoyed selling woodcraft at the St. Jacob`s Farmers Market.

Friends are invited to share their memories of John with his family during visitation at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King St. S., Waterloo on Sunday June 11, 2017 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. The funeral service will be held at W-K United Mennonite Church, 15 George St., Waterloo on Monday, June 12, 2017 at 11 a.m., with a reception following the service.  Interment to follow at Parkview Cemetery, Waterloo.
