Obituary of Donna Bridget McGlynn

At the age of 82, Donna Bridget McGlynn, of Kitchener, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Wednesday, June 14, 2017 at Innisfree House.

Donna was born in Formosa, Ontario to George and Vera McGlynn on March 5, 1935.  She became a Registered Nurse and devoted 43 years of loving care to patients at Grand River Hospital. She was proud to be a lifelong member of the Catholic Women's League and St. Louis R.C. Church.

Donna is survived by her beloved nephews Greg Caron and twins Kevin and Kelly Hertner, her brothers Ray (a.k.a. Sonny) McGlynn, Carman (Betty) McGlynn, Roger (Sandy) McGlynn, her sister Muriel (Jim) Hertner, nieces Leslie Hertner,  Shannon McGlynn-Robinson, Cindy McLeod and Karen (Mike) Hilling, her nephews Richard (Kerry) Hertner, Jason (Sherry) Hertner, Ryan (Tanya) Hertner, Chad (Chrissy) McGlynn, Shawn McGlynn, Rick (Lorraine) Roy, Kevin Freeland, Tim (Karen) Kantor and 33 great-nieces and great-nephews.  She will also be greatly missed by her longtime friends Zennie, Helga and Faye. 

She was preceded in death by her parents George and Vera and by her siblings Shirley (Alvin) Seegmiller, June (Bill) Davison and great-nephew Michael Kantor.

Visitation will be held at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King St. S., Waterloo on Sunday, June 18, 2017 from 2-4 p.m.  A funeral mass will be celebrated at St. Louis R. C. Church, 53 Allen St. E., Waterloo on Monday, June 19, 2017 at 10 a.m. with Rev. Phil Reilly as Celebrant.  A reception will follow in the church hall. Interment at Immaculate Conception R. C. Cemetery in Formosa with immediate family will follow the reception.
