Obituary of Jacqueline Mattson

Died at home on Wednesday, July 26, 2017 in the loving care of her family.

Beloved wife of the late Joseph Mattson.  Loving mother of Harald and his partner Janet Thompson of Kitchener; Peggy Smith and her husband Bruce Horne of Wolfe Island, Kristine and her husband Mark Schumacher of Waterloo, Peter and his wife Jane of Toronto, Mark and his wife Nora Osbaldeston of Toronto, Dr. Ingrid Mattson and her husband Amer Aatek of London, and Joey Mattson (deceased).

Cherished grandmother of Jordan (Charu), and Abby Smith, and Madeline Horne; Ben, Luke, Andy and Leslie Schumacher; Dr. Rachel (Sebastian) Jug, and Dylan Mattson; Soumayya (Deceased) and Ubayda  Aatek.  Big Grandma to Sophie, Mia and Jay Smith.  Each of her grandchildren shared a special and unique relationship with their “G” and they will miss her love, humour, and unconditional support.

Predeceased by her parents Violet and Albert Abbott. Dear sister of Harry and his wife Teresa, Mary Lou and her husband Duane Orr, and Edward and his wife Melanie.  Jackie will be warmly remembered by all of her nieces, nephews, and friends, especially those who shared her summers at the yellow cottage on Brophy’s Point, Wolfe Island.

Friends are invited to share their memories of Jackie with her family during visitation at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King St. S., Waterloo, on Friday, July 28, 2017 from 4-7 pm. The Funeral Mass will be held at Sacred Heart of Mary RC Church, Wolfe Island, Ontario on Saturday, July 29 at 12:00 pm. Interment to follow in Sacred Heart RC Cemetery.
