Obituary of Franklyn Wesley Nuhn

Franklyn passed away on Friday, September 22, 2017 in his 100th year at DerBecker's Heritage House LTC, St. Jacobs.

Beloved husband of Luella (nee Hopper) for 69 years, whom he married January 24, 1948. Father of James (Micaela) of Mexico, William (Krystyna) of Kitchener and Gordon (Peggy) of Florida. Grandfather of Jaqueline DiBenedetto (Marc), Lucas (Bonnie), Peter (Tabitha), Alexander (Amanda), Justin (Melissa), Jeremy, Timothy (Tenille), Christopher (Roxanna) and Angela Nuhn. Great-grandfather of Vinny, Jason and Max DiBenedetto, Sarah, Ingrid, Angus, Mariska, Korbin, Chloe, Eilene and Christopher Nuhn. Survived by his brother Arnold Nuhn, sisters-in-law Gladys Forbes, Blanche Hopper, Nettie Hopper and Marie Hopper and many nieces and nephews.

Predeceased by a brother Norman, sisters-in-law Jean and Grace Nuhn, brothers-in-law Neil Hopper, James Hopper, Durl Hopper and Ken Forbes and nephew David Nuhn.

Frank was a longtime resident of Bridgeport (now Kitchener) where he and Luella raised their three sons. They later lived in Conestogo, St. Jacobs and Goderich and spent many winters in Fort Myers, Florida.

A Memorial Service will be held at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King St. S., Waterloo on Saturday, October 7 at 2 p.m. with a reception to follow.
