Obituary of Jean Ward

Passed away on Friday September 22, 2017 at St. Mary's General Hospital at the age of 71 years. Born in Droylsden, England, Jean emigrated to Canada with her husband, Eric in 1965 and lived in Waterloo for the majority of her life. Jean was the loving wife of Eric Ward of Waterloo. Dear mother and friend of Krista Ward (Sturt Carter) and Nicola Ward (Murray Dekeyser) all of Waterloo. Loving Nana of Sloane Maguire Carter, Emma Jayne Doyle, Maxwell George Ryan Bowen, and Conan Dekeyser. Jean will be missed by her special niece and nephew Sally and David Tomlinson. She will also be sadly missed by her extended family in Newmarket and England as well as by her many friends. Jean will be remembered for her kindness, positivity, dry wit and humour and her dedication and love to her family. Predeceased by her parents George and Alice Tomlinson and her brother George Tomlinson.

A Memorial Service to celebrate Jean's life will be held at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King St. S., Waterloo on Saturday, September 30, 2017 at 11 a.m. Reception to follow in the Fireside Room of the funeral home. Cremation has already taken place.
