I would like you to know Auntie, that I know he made you Happy. I miss him. He was a kind man. I didn't know many kind men. You telling me stories of him walking Mime. The cat. Lovely cat. What hilarity.I deeply hope you are Well, Auntie. A privilege in Life, to feel Safe. To share intimicies. Laughter and Pain. To Know you are Understood. At risk of offending you, You finally found a Confidente. Someone who truly cared about you. You are Blessed. 5195215482. I will be dead soon. Not self pity. We all go to the 'Grave'. I am sick. May Jehovah Bless Bob, your husband for showing you acceptance and understanding. Be Well Auntie. Anger looks bad on everyone. Still working on it. Take Care.

I was sorry to hear of Bob's passing. I remember him coming into The UPS Store for years and we (me and my parents - Herb and Gloria) always had a good laugh at his jokes. He was a great guy and will be missed. Our sincere condolences from Trudy Hartman and family.

I was sorry to read of Bob's death and of his struggle. "Smitty" and I worked together in the summer on "playgrounds" for the Kitchener Recreation Department somewhere around 1959-60 or thereabouts. He was a fun and great guy to work with even though he was from ECI and I was from KCI:) We saw each other only rarely since then but always had a few moments of conversation and remembrances of the past. You have lost him much too soon. Take care Larry Kelly

Diane and I were saddened to hear about Bob's death. We first met Bob some 45 years ago when we lived across the street from one another. We were all young and had many fun times with the Schmidt's and other friends on our street. As well, Bob and I were on staff together at Bluevale and eventually served as Principals together. Our thoughts and prayers are with all of the Schmidt family at this time. We feel badly that we are away at the moment and are not able to attend either the visitation or the funeral but our thoughts will be with all of you. Larry and Diane Waldock

We have a wonderful memory of our visit to Carol and Bob with our grandson Carter. We remember Bob driving us to their cottage on the lake and the lovely weekend we shared exploring the area. Our grandson especially enjoyed the canoe ride and the campfire in the evening. We are happy to remember these special moments with Bob. Anne and Erhard Kostler Virginia Beach, Virginia

Bob was my VP during my highschool years, then came back as principal. He left an impression of being fair but firm, but inside I think he was a gentle giant who made a deep and lasting impression on all who met him. My condolences to the family.

Mr. Schmidt was the VP at WO during my high school years (85-90). He was always so approachable and ready to listen. I remember my locker got broken into in the first few weeks of Grade 9, he moved my locker close to the office so he could keep an eye on it. He was a wonderful man. Sending hugs & prayers to his family during this sad time. Deanna Howlett

Carol, I share a long history and fondly remember the two of us studying for university exams up in Red Bay in the mid 1960's.His parents and mine were cottage neighbours and became fast friends. Bob became my principal at W-O and we both retired 1998.Our thoughts and prayers will be with you in the days ahead. We are wintering in Florida and unfortunately we will not be able to offer our sympathies in person.Blessings, Phil & Linda Werstine
