Dear Nick, Vanessa, Boris and Patricia How fortunate I was to have Jane as a friend for almost 20 years. In her work she made a difference everywhere she went and was an enormous influence on me. As a friend and travelling companion, she was the best - fun, adventurous, loving getting out there and seeing the world. Her love for you and the grandchildren was central to her life. I am so sad, but also so grateful to have known and loved her. Ruth

Dear Nick and Vanessa and families; My deepest sympathy to you. I will always remember your mother for her smile and always pleasant personality. She contributed so much to so many people and organizations. Her years in Heidelberg were spent helping others at St. Peters and in the community. She will be greatly missed. My thoughts and prayers go with you. May you will find comfort and strength knowing so many people care for you. Your mother will live on in each of you and in your children. Sincerely Bev Baechler, Heidelberg

Jane was a wonderful colleague, so focused and creative. I feel so fortunate to have had the opportunity to work with her closely at Tamarack over the last several years. Sharing her knowledge and support to colleagues and working to make the world a better place were things that she dedicated her professional life to. I am so grateful that our friendship continued in her retirement. Vanessa, Nick & family, you all were her greatest joy. The times she spent with you and her grandchildren were what she treasured most. I am so sorry for your loss...and I know that Jane's love and light will continue to shine in all your lives.

I'm so very sad to hear of Jane's passing and send warmest wishes to her loved ones. I was very fortunate to work with Jane in the community foundation movement many years ago and am so grateful to have known her. She was a force for such good and just a delightful human full of humour and intelligence.

Our paths crossed early in both our careers. Woodside N HP was my first full-time job and Jane my first boss. She set a high standard! She (and Alexandra Mustakas) also became my first role models for working women and mothers. For many years after I left Woodside, in my own professional life, whenever I was in a tricky situation I often thought to myself, "What would Jane do?" We worked extremely hard but Jane created an environment that was fun. We were comrades. The world has indeed lost a formidable woman. Joy Manson
