Scott, Shelley and Susan, We are so sorry to hear about your Dad. We just found out about it this afternoon about an hour ago. If we had known sooner we would have been at the funeral today. If not for DL we never would never have moved to Waterloo and our lives would have been totally different. He encouraged me to come and work for him thirty-eight years ago. He told me if I worked hard for him he would look after our family and he followed through on that promise. His loss will leave an empty space in your family circle! Mr Steep was a driving force and inspiration to me in becoming a Canadian Tire Dealer. I worked for Mr Steep for several years and he coached me, inspired me, provided guidance not only in business but in life also. Long after I left Mr Steep to pursue the dreams he had created for me, he kept in touch always insuring I kept on the right track and always inquired about my family and their development.
