Joan was a dear friend of my mother, Sheila Moore. They were neighbors and I believe they met in the 70's. They shared many cups of tea (or coffee) while sharing their experiences as mothers, wives, and office workers together with another neighbor, Donna Smith. I remember many times coming home from high school to find Joan and Donna in our living room. When my Mum had Alzheimer's, she may not have known Joan's name, but she knew Joan was dear to her. Joan talked very lovingly and proudly about her family. I was deeply sorry to hear of Joan's passing, and I send my deepest condolences to the family.
