I worked with Jack for many years. I found him to be very honest, caring, capable, and gentle. He definitely was a man who lived by his principles. I see a friend now that Jack taught about 70 years ago in a special class at Elizabeth Ziegler School. My friend often asks about "Mr. Bean". My friend tells me repeatedly about his respect for "Mr. Bean", his fond memories of "Mr. Bean", and for the value of self-respect taught to him by "Mr. Bean". "Mr. Bean", thank you for the difference you made in my friend's life, and for the differences you made in the lives of thousands of students with whom you had contact. Rest is peace my friend.
