Mr. Brienza was my neighbour. As a child he always greeted me with a warm smile and took a genuine interest in talking with me and the other kids in the neighbourhood. In recent years I enjoyed walking through the neighbourhood and seeing Mr. and Mrs. Brienza on their porch where they always took the time to catch up with me about life and teaching…and Mr.Brienza was always smiling! Mr. Brienza was one of my teachers in the mid-90’s at Resurrection and he was always one of my favourites. He was fair and kind and raidiated an energy and joy for life that few people possess.
