I was so very sorry to hear about Patti's illness and passing. I so enjoyed spending time with Patti at Waterfit class at the Rec centre. Patti was so strikingly warm and kind; she reached out in such a generous and friendly way. I so enjoyed our conversations and just being in her presence. Very sad to hear of Patti’s passing. Patti and I were friends as teenagers, sharing fun times and many a laugh together! Patti went on to work in the bookstore at The University of Waterloo where my mother Vera Snyder also worked. We stayed loosely connected through letters over the years, sharing news of the birth of our children and other celebrations. I especially recall Patti’s beautiful handwriting. Patti was very happy with the life she was building together with Bill and proud of her little ones. Our sincere condolences to Bill and family in the loss of their loved one. Dear Bill,Emilie,Matt, Peter,Jamie,Cameron and Kaylee: I first met Patti when she enrolled Emilie and Peter at Sir Edgar Bauer Catholic School in Waterloo, where I was one of the Administrative Assistants there, and over the years, our friendship continued to grow. One of my fondest memories of Patti, is that every year on the last day of school in June, Patti would bring in two beautiful corsages for myself and the other Administrative Assistant to thank us for all our hard work during the year. It was such a thoughtful and kind gesture and a wonderful gift that I will never forget. Even though Patti and I didn’t see each other too often, whenever we would meet it was always with a warm hug and her beautiful smile. Her friendship to me was something that I will always treasure and be thankful for. I always say if we can leave this world, knowing that we are loved and that we have made a difference, then we have accomplished everything. Patti was indeed loved and made a difference to all of us, who were so blessed to have her in our lives. I am keeping you all very close to my heart with thoughts and prayers during this difficult time. Patti will always hold a very special place in my heart.
