Dear Mrs Ross, Cathy and Mark,
heartfelt condolences on the passing of Mr Ross. In recent years, my father enjoyed his chats with Mr Ross at antique and gun shows, as I too enjoyed bumping into you (Mrs Ross) and your husband from time to time in KW. When young, I always found it interesting to meet the parents of school friends. Being with peers all day at school, then meeting their folks, dots would easily connect as to how and why certain classmates acted, thought or behaved as they did. Cathy: growing up, from kindergarten until high school, you were one of the most compassionate, wise, humorous and respectful people I knew. I can still recall, as far back as early primary school, seeing your parents occasionally at school open houses, events and such. Looking back, over all these years, I cannot recall ever having seen your mum without your dad or your dad without your mum, arm in arm. There was a "stability" about them, a calm, a dignity, a safety. It was easy for me to see, even as a child, why you were the wonderful way you were, with such parents mentoring you. Mr Ross will always be continuing to brighten the world as long as you continue to be the bright children he and your mother raised you to be. Patience and peace to your entire family, D. Wharnsby
