At the age of 95, Viola and her dear friend Mary Groh, came to volunteer in the kitchen at Silver Lake Mennonite Camp. Viola an excellent cook, was amazed at the way we made lasagna for 185 people - a new "trick" for her even at that age. In the evening, she and Mary would play scrabble...we all watched as they came up with these incredible words (and scores) that none of even imagined were possible. So many laughs and great memories with these women. Such a role model of giving back to all who knew her.

We remember Viola and also George with a great deal of fondness. Viola was always so gracious and friendly. It was good to bump into her wherever that might be.
