Obituary of J. Wesley Nicoll

<h1>J. Wesley Nicoll</h1> 1918 – 2006 The family of J. Wesley Nicoll of Kitchener are mourning the loss of a much loved husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather. Wes passed away September 29, 2006 at the age of 88, after a lengthy illness. He will be greatly missed by Anna (nee MacWalker), his dear wife of 63 years; daughter Sharon Barbour (Doug) of Edmonton; son David Nicoll (Candy) of Cambridge, Ont.; grandchildren Christine Nicoll (Francois) of Cambridge, U.K. and Jaime Nicoll (Summer) of Kitchener; great grandchildren, dear little boys Ethan and Liam; daughter Susan Nicoll (Michael) of Vancouver; son Stephen Nicoll (Maggie) of Toronto; brothers Bill Nicoll of Mira Gut, N.S. and Ken Nicoll (Marie) of Texas; and sister Carol Pinhey (Jim) of St. Margaret's Bay, N.S. A native of Cape Breton, Wes served in the Canadian Army during World War II, and later worked in accounting in Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, and Ontario. Wherever he lived he was active in his church, serving as a Sunday school teacher, a deacon, and church treasurer. He was admired and respected by all who knew him for his integrity, kindness, and generosity. Friends are invited to share their memories of Wes with his family during visitation at the Erb &amp; Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King St. S., Waterloo on Wednesday, October 4, 2006 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will be held at Highland Baptist Church, 135 Highland Rd. W., Kitchener, on Thursday, October 5, 2006 at 11 a.m., the Rev. Das Sydney officiating. Reception will immediately follow the service.
