<h1>Russell "Rusty" Tartaglia</h1> 1924 – 2007 Passed away peacefully, at St. Mary’s General Hospital, Kitchener on Wednesday, January 3, 2007 at the age of 82 years. Rusty was a graduate of McMaster University. Following a 44-year career, he retired as a Vice President of B.F. Goodrich. Rusty was the Director of Freeport Hospital, served on the advisory council of Oktoberfest, a member of the North Waterloo Housing Authority, the Chamber of Commerce and is a Past President and Honorary Member of Westmount Golf Club. He was also the Chairman of the Men’s Canadian Amateur Golf Tournament in 1969, the Canadian PGA Tournament in 1981, and the DuMaurier Classic in 1990. Rusty is survived by his beloved wife of 59 years Shirley, his daughter Mary (Mac) of Halifax, son Dave (Brenda) of Waterloo and his two grandchildren Laura and Matthew. Rusty was predeceased by his brother Mike Tartaglia. Cremation and a private family service have taken place. A memorial service to celebrate Rusty’s life will take place at a later date (when the dogwoods bloom at Augusta).
