Obituary of Helen Mae McCullough

Helen passed away peacefully, with her daughters at her side, at St. Mary’s General Hospital on Monday, November 21, 2016 at the age of 86. Predeceased by her beloved husband Allan “Al” McCullough on March 24, 2010. Loving mother of Kathy Debus (husband Doug) and Sandy McCullough; grandmother of Andrew Debus (fiancée Stephanie), Megan Stevanus (husband Tyler), Katelyn Plato (husband Nathan), Stephanie Debus, Daniel Debus, Erin McCullough, Brandon Uebele; and great-grandmother of Jacob Stevanus. Helen is also survived by her sisters-in-law, Gloria McCullough and Helene Thompson. Predeceased by her parents, Adolf and Violet (nee Hahn) Werle and her brother, Paul Werle. Helen retired from Bell Canada as a Business Service Representative after more than 35 years of service. She will be remembered for her “wicked” sense of humour and her love to travel, golf, and do crafts, especially knitting. Relatives and friends are invited to share memories of Helen during a memorial visitation at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King St. S., Waterloo on Wednesday, November 23 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. A memorial service will be held at Glen Acres Baptist Church, 223 Hartwood Ave., Waterloo on Thursday, November 24, 2016 at 11 a.m. with Rev. Bill Horne officiating. A reception will immediately follow the service in the Church Hall. Due to fragrance sensitivities, please refrain from wearing perfumes and colognes.
