Obituary of Kenneth John Beaupre

After a brief illness, Ken passed away at the Freeport Campus of Grand River Hospital on Wednesday, January 25, 2017 in his 86th year. Ken is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Theresa (nee Esbaugh); his children, Steve (Susan) Beaupre, Mike (Renée) Beaupre, Pam (Tony) Bass, Don (Lisa) Beaupre, and Jane Koehler (Brad Kaitting); grandchildren, Shelley (Chad) Stumpf, Jeff (Cheryl) Beaupre, Jordan, Joey and Jacob Bass, Jennifer and Tina Beaupre , Nick (Erica) Ciardelli, Connor and Isabelle Beaupre, Emily, Nicole and John Koehler and Blain Kaitting; six great-grandchildren; sister, Lucille Bordman; brothers-in-law, Gerry Knorr and Harry Phillips; sister-in-law, Mary Dietrich; and many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents, Aloysius and Agnes (nee Forwell) Beaupre, sister Joanne Knorr, and brother Ronald Beaupre (Patti). For 27 years, Ken worked with Russ Howald Construction as superintendant and eventually began his own residential construction company. He was a member of St. Louis RC Parish in Waterloo, a member of the Waterloo Knights of Columbus, and a member of the Harmony Lunch breakfast club. Ken was coach, convenor and president of Waterloo Minor Hockey and had a great love of fishing and hunting. Relatives and friends are invited to share memories of Ken during visitation at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King St. S., Waterloo on Sunday, January 29, 2017 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. with Parish Prayers at 8:45 p.m. A funeral mass will be celebrated at St. Louis RC Church, 53 Allen St. E., Waterloo on Monday, January 30, 2017 at 11 a.m. with Rev. Phil Reilly, CR as Celebrant. A reception will immediately follow in the gymnasium at the church. Following cremation, a private family committal service will be held at Parkview Cemetery, Waterloo.
