Obituary of Mary Henrietta Mitchell

Mitchell, Mary Henrietta McGuire 1927 - 2017 Passed away peacefully at St. Mary’s General Hospital on January 31, 2017 at the age of 89. Mary was predeceased by her loving husband David “ Scotty” Mitchell in 2009, whom she was married to for 60 years. Loving mother of June ( John ) Sproule and Irene ( Greg ) Mitchell. Dear Grandmother of Jon ( Kelly ) Sproule, Jen ( Jay ) Lang, Julie ( Mark ) Calder, and Kristen Warren. Beloved Great Grandmother to Taylor, Ryan, Hailey, Amber, Duncan, Bailey and Jake. Predeceased by her daughter Jean in 1956. Mary was a dedicated employee of 17 years with Sears in the retail department. Mary was a gentle and kind woman, whose smile and soft Scottish brogue touched everyone she came into contact with. Mom’s favorite things: all of her children including the special 3 in Scotland, Molly ( dog ), chocolate ( Scottish best ) , shopping ( especially in Talize with Taylor ), line dancing , cruises, and family vacations to Disney and the cottage. Cremation has taken place and there will be no visitation or funeral.
