Obituary of Rudy Vincent

ROBERT RUDOLPHE VINCENT 1965 – 2017 Rudy “Rob” died at his home in Kitchener on Tuesday, February 7, 2017, at the young age of 51. He is survived by his wife Brandi Barens. Dear father of Katie, Jacquie and James and proud grandfather of Audrey. Rudy is lovingly remembered by his mother-in-law Vicki Holmes and Doug Marriott; brother-in-law Chad Barens; Marianne and Jim Erb, brothers Dave Erb and Leanne Baer, Mike and Diana Erb and their children, Cecilia, Oliver and Elliott. He will also be fondly remembered by members of the Vincent, Kurtin, Erb and Schmidt families. He was predeceased by his mother Jeannine Kurtin and grandparents Fred and Olivette Kurtin. Rudy had a passion for his work, adventure and music. In 2000, Rudy decided to retrain, and enrolled in the Millwright Program at Conestoga College where he graduated with honours and won a Provincial Industrial Mechanic Competition as the most skilled apprentice in the province. He went on to work for Owens Corning and Barda Marine and Mechanical. Rudy faced many challenges in life from a very young age. He was a loving and supportive father and husband, working hard to ensure his family didn't face the same challenges he did in life. He will be dearly missed. Rudy’s family will receive friends at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King Street South, Waterloo on Friday from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm. The funeral service to celebrate Rudy’s life will be held in the chapel of the funeral home on Saturday, February 11th, 2017 at 4 pm. Following cremation, interment will take place in Memory Gardens. A further celebration of Rudy’s life will be held on his 52nd birthday, Wednesday, May 24th, 2017, with more information to follow at a later date.
