Obituary of Ernest Abraham Brutzki

Brutzki, Ernest Abraham Ernest Abraham Brutzki, of Kitchener, peacefully went home to be with his Lord, surrounded by the love of his family on Saturday, February 11th, 2017 at Trinity Care Centre in Kitchener in his 92nd year. Ernie was the dear husband of the late Betty (Thoman) Brutzki (deceased 1946). Beloved father of their son Larry Ernest Brutzki, husband of Betty (Bast) Brutzki of almost 70 years. Ernie was a loving father to Kirk Alan Brutzki (Judy). Cherished grandfather of Candice Avdikos (Nick) of Phoenix Arizona, Kristy Brutzki (Keith Maloney) and great-grandfather of Bella and Chloe Avdikos. Ernie waited until his granddaughter Candice Avdikos (pictured above with Ernie), who flew from AZ to say goodbye. He passed within 30 minutes of her arrival. Ernie appreciated his Christian heritage and humble beginnings. Ernie had a love and passion for his church, Kitchener Gospel Temple, his family, and his classic cars. The love story that he and mom shared of almost 70 years was one of true love and commitment. He will be dearly missed by his family, but we know that Heaven is now rejoicing with Ernie's presence, alongside his parents Clayton & Pearl (Witmer) Brutzki, mother in law Rebecca Bast (Higgins), brothers Calvin, Harold, Russel (Chip) and sister Marion. Brother in law Raymond Bast and his wife Dottie (who passed 2 days previous Feb 9, 2017). Brother in law Ken and wife Gladys Hunter of Escondido California. The family would like to thank the staff at Trinity Long Term Care (Oakridge Section) for the wonderful care they provided for Dad. Friends are invited to share their memories of Ernie with his family during visitation at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King St., S., Waterloo on Wednesday, February 15, 2017 from 1 – 1:45 p.m., followed by a Memorial Service in the chapel at 2:00 p.m. A Reception will follow in the fireside room of the funeral home.
