Obituary of Loretta Magdalena Burgetz

Loretta passed away peacefully, surrounded by family, at Trinity Village Care Centre in Kitchener, on Friday July 7, 2017, four weeks prior to her 100th birthday.

Born August 5, 1917 in Josephsburg, Wilmot Township to the late John B. Oesch and Mattie (nee Schweitzer) .  Predeceased in 1995 by Lloyd Burgetz, her beloved husband of 55 years.

Loretta is survived by her loving daughter Janet Storer, husband Ted, son Dale and daughter Tara (predeceased in 1996); loving son Wayne, wife Kathleen, sons Marc and Adam and wife Seonyoung.

Also survived by her brother Maurice Oesch (wife Sadie predeceased).  She will be missed by her many nieces and nephews and their families.

Loretta was also predeceased by brother Clayton and sisters Clara Hartleib and Edna Jones.

Loretta was a longtime member of Kitchener Gospel Temple and also a past member of the K-W Horticultural Society. Her passions included the church, gardening and traveling.

Visitation will be held at Kitchener Gospel Temple, 9 Conway Drive, Kitchener on Tuesday July 11, 2017 from 12:45 - 1:45 p.m., followed by the funeral service at 2 p.m. with Rev. John Stewart officiating.  A reception will immediately follow the service.  A private family committal service and interment will be held at Memory Gardens, Breslau.
