Passed away peacefully on Tuesday, July 11, 2017 at Barnswallow Place in Elmira, at age 92.

Beloved husband of Faye (predeceased 2000), loved Father of Lynne and Don Peterson, Janice (predeceased 1982), loving Pa to Adam and Rachel Peterson, and Great-grandpa to Carter and Nolan Peterson. Also remembered by a sister Jean Fleet.

Predeceased by siblings Glen Farrell, Lloyd Farrell, Erma Lemon, Marjorie Pritchard, and Marion Carroll.

Ken was born in Norwich in 1925 and attended schools there. He started to work at the Bank of Montreal in Norwich after he left school in 1941. In 1943, he enlisted in the RCAF and graduated as a pilot in 1944. Upon discharge from the Air Force he continued his banking career and served in several branches of the bank in Norwich, Brantford, Waterloo and London. He was promoted to Manager and was transferred to Germany to set up three branches for the Canadian Armed Forces.

Shortly after returning to Canada, he moved to Waterloo and began a career with Equitable Life. A few years later, he set up a very successful life insurance and pension brokerage business.

While in London, Ken joined the RCAF Reserve #420 Squadron where he served as a pilot for several years.

Ken is a Past President of the WW Flying Club and was a member of the of the Airport Commission representing the City of Waterloo. He was a long standing member of the #404 Wing of the RCAFA.

A Memorial Reception will be held in the Fireside Reception Room of the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King St. S., Waterloo on Saturday, July 15, 2017 between the hours of 1 and 3 p.m.
