Obituary of Lora Ann Campbell

Passed away peacefully on Wednesday October 4, 2017 at Grand River Hospital Freeport Campus, Kitchener after a brave battle with ovarian cancer. Born November 3, 1958, Lora began her career as a nurse in 1978 in Cambridge, ON. Over the years she provided care to many patients, most recently at the St. Mary’s Cardiac Care Center where she worked for the last 12 years, and acted as Resource Nurse in the Eye Clinic.

She will be greatly missed by her mother Rose Schilling, her son James Campbell, his partner Robyn Mustill and their daughter Edie Campbell, as well as her son Ian Campbell and his partner Elizabeth Pittman. Fondly remembered by her family, brothers Bill Whittle (Mary Schmidt) and Andy Whittle (Jill Derksen Whittle), sisters Lois Goldsworthy (Peter Goldsworthy) and Sharon Whittle (Ted Harms), her 8 nieces and nephews and 5 great nieces and nephews, as well as many co-workers and friends.

Cremation has taken place. Friends are invited to share their memories of Lora with her family during a Memorial Reception at the Erb and Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King St. S., Waterloo, on Wednesday October 11, 2017 from 6 – 8 p.m., with a time to share memories at 7 p.m., followed by a time to greet the family. The family would like to thank all the caregivers from the Palliative Care Unit, CCAC, Grand River Cancer Center and Freeport Hospital for their support as well as numerous doctors, surgeons, and all the nurses.
