I will miss Murray walking his beloved dog everyday. I enjoyed watching the 2 of them cruising around the block. Often I would stop and ask how Bentley was. So sorry for your loss.3

Carol, Karen, Paul and extended family...
I was very sorry to hear the sudden passing of Murray. Despite my limited time and conversations with Murray, they are memorable...and always included a smile and laugh. The last time I spoke with Murray was at a family reunion, and in fact was the longest conversation we'd ever had. We talked about baseball and hockey, but mostly about our shared passion for music. We traded numerous stories about bands and songs we both enjoyed and how vinyl records were making a big comeback. At one point I mentioned to Murray I was an avid listener of records and how much I played them at home. About a month later a box of records appeared in our front hallway. When I asked Christina where they came from...she said: "They came from Murray, he thought you'd like them." I smiled and thought 'what a guy.' Clearly and example of someone who was caring and giving...which was demonstrated today at his service through the touching stories shared by friends and family. And what a great service it was. So much more personal than the traditional services many us grew up with. He obviously left a lasting impression on many. I wish I had more time to chat about baseball and music with him.

We are so sorry to hear of his passing. I last talked to Murray in 1961 when I stayed for a visit in Ottawa on my way to Winnipeg. I did not know him well but I did know he was a good son and he would be a good man. My Dad was also his father's s brother and though we didn't see him often, the family was mentioned a lot. He sounds well thought of and so we missed out by not knowing him as a man. The star that shines the brightest is his porch light welcoming him home. Have a safe trip. We will meet again.
Love always,
Slim and Sybil Boyd

I am so saddened to hear of the passing of Murray. His dad and my dad (Bob) were brothers. Although we may not have met there is still a deep family connection. May Murray rest in peace among his loving family members who preceded him. My thoughts and prayers are with you all.
