Obituary of Murray James Herriot

It is with profound disbelief and sadness that the Herriot family announce the passing of Murray James.  Murray passed away peacefully at his home in Waterloo on Monday, October 23, 2017 at the age of 70.

Beloved husband of 41 years to Carol.  Cherished dad of Paul Herriot and his wife Marnie and Karen Connelly and her husband Mike.  Proud grandpa of Liam Herriot.  Dear brother of Theresa Piccolo, Eleanor Bart, and Dorothea Talsma.

Predeceased by his parents Murray Joseph and Loreen (nee Robertson) Herriot.

Murray was born in Picton Ontario, and moved frequently during his childhood. He lived for a short time in Germany, later in Ottawa and finally settled in Cambridge Ontario.  In 2012, Murray retired after 31 years from BMO – Nesbitt Burns as an Investment Advisor.  

Murray’s family will receive friends and relatives at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King St. S., Waterloo on Thursday, October 26, 2017 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m.  The funeral service will be held in the Funeral Home Chapel on Friday, October 27, 2017 at 3 p.m.  A reception will immediately follow in the funeral home’s Fireside Room.
