Thinking of you and your beautiful mother and realizing it’s been almost a year since her passing in December 2017. I wish to send a prayer for peace, love and hope and strength to Jennifer, Scott and Gordon and their family. I was happy to hear Carol was laid to rest surrounded by the mountains she loved.

Jennifer and Scott:
I was so sorry to hear of your Mom's passing. I really enjoyed my time on the Fort Garry School Division Board with her - she brought such a passion for kids and for learning to her role on the Board. I didn't see your Mom again once she moved to Canmore - when I pass through Canmore next I will certainly be thinking of her.
With sympathy, Laureen Goodridge

Jennifer and Scott we are so saddened to read your mom passed away. We know how much she loved you both and was so proud of you.
We lost contact with her the last few years. We tried to call her in Canmore a few years ago but she had moved. She was a nomad!
(Bea)- Your mom and I had many great adventures together in high school. Many involved her super sharp Mustang. We had a lot of fun together.
There are two memories of your mom showing up at the door of our house on Montrose St. which caused me to scream and nearly give my parents a heart attack. The first was your mom was standing there with a huge pony tail in her hand. As you know she had the most fabulous hair and had decided to chop it off! The second incident she was standing outside the door with a very obviously broken arm! She had fallen off a horse! Never a dull moment with her.
You are in our thoughts at this time.

I was very fortunate to get close to Carol last year, she graciously offered to give me piano lessons. As much as I enjoyed the lessons I enjoyed her friendship. After a carefully planned lesson we would enjoy the rest of the afternoon visiting. Carol was very insightful and kind, she helped me understand some personal issues that I was facing. I know of her love for animals, she always greeted my dog with a big hello. I miss her, I think of she when I sit down at my piano or when I gaze towards the rookies. Rest In Peace Carol. My sincere sympathy to her family.

As a member of the Newcomers group in Calgary and fellow Euchre card player, I can tell you we all were so sad to hear of Carol's health issues, then her death. She was a friend to many of us and an fearsome opponent in Bid Euchre. She is missed by us all. Diana

Carol was an active and enthusiastic member of the Calgary Newcomers Club (CNC) in the past few years. Carol always had a sunny disposition and interesting new activity that she was up to, whether volunteering with horse rescue, playing piano with another CNC member, or organizing dinner excursions to Canmore.
On behalf of all CNC members, may we extend our deepest Condolences to Carol's family on the loss of your dear mother and aunt.
On a personal note, I always looked forward to playing weekly card games with Carol and enjoyed our times together. It's been a shock to learn of how quickly her illness overtook her. Carol will be deeply missed by her many friends in Calgary.

Hello Jennifer and Scott,
Uncle Gord shared this with me. It is a beautiful summary of all the good things about Carol. I would add: amazing mother, wonderful cook, great hostess, beautiful sense of style, caring daughter when Edna needed support, protective older sister in days gone by, fun.
Take care.
love, Auntie Eleanor
