It is with the heaviest of hearts that we announce the passing away of Joe Doczi on January 22, 2018 at Forest Heights Long Term Care Centre in his 71^st year. Joseph was predeceased by his parents Joseph and Elizabeth Doczi. Joseph will be sadly missed by his brothers Alex and Tom.

Beloved uncle of Kyle, Jesse, Alex Jr., and Kate. Joe will be forever missed and lovingly remembered by his nephews and niece. Joe will also be remembered by family in Hungary.

Joe was born in Hungary and immigrated to Canada with his family in January of 1957 and the family settled in Kitchener. Joe enjoyed playing a variety of sports. He played lacrosse for the Kitchener Braves and while attending Waterloo Lutheran University (Wilfrid Laurier) played on the men’s Varsity Hockey Team.   

A Memorial Reception will be held in the Fireside Room of the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King Street S. Waterloo, on Friday May 18, 2018 from 4 – 7 p.m. with remembrances at 5 p.m. Burial of cremated remains will take place on May 18 at 3 p.m. at St. Peter’s Lutheran Cemetery, Kitchener.
