Obituary of Violet Ella Matyas

Vi, in her 87th year, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 3rd, 2018 at Grand River Hospital, Kitchener, Ontario. She is survived by her loving husband Elmer (celebrating 63 years of marriage); her daughter Nancy Estey (Rob) of Toronto and grandchildren Spencer and Charlotte; and her son Stephen of Waterloo and granddaughter Alexandra. She is also survived by her brother-in-law Alfred (Yvonne) of Burford. She is predeceased by her brother Steve (Eleanor) of Oshawa. Vi was a beloved Aunt to Lori, Jim, Cathy and John.

She will be remembered for her infectious smile, the glint in her eye, her love for entertaining family and friends with home-cooked meals, and her many interests, including golf, badminton, baking, sewing and gardening.
