Obituary of Violet Marie Shim

Violet Shim, 78, of Waterloo, ON, passed into glory to be with her Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, on April 8, 2018, at Hamilton General Hospital. She was born in Kingston, Jamaica, eldest daughter of her late parents, Den Kew Wong and Daisy Yuen Len Wong, on March 26, 1940.

She is survived by her husband Nuke Kee Shim; children Carolyn Chenard, Sharon Shim and Raymond (Lynn) and Richard (Radda); and grandchildren Andre, Daniel, Gabriella, Joshua, Noah and Sophia; siblings Dudley (Carmen), Pam (Harry), Pearl, Dennis, Sonia, Easton and Elizabeth (Dan) and other nephews and nieces.

Friends are invited to visitation at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King St. S., Waterloo on Wednesday, April 18, 2018 from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Thanksgiving and celebration service will be held at Lincoln Road Chapel, 145 Lincoln Road, Waterloo, on Thursday, April 19 at 10:30 am, followed by refreshments and a time of testimony regarding Vie’s life. Interment will be at 2:00 pm at Parkview Cemetery, 335 University Avenue E, Waterloo.
