Jim, I was thinking of you again today. Pookie had five kittens and one of them looks just like Harley. It remains to be seen whether she will have her golden eyes or green ones. You would have loved to have been here to see them. Precious still misses you and wanders over whenever I am there. I do believe that cats remember. I sure hope that you have plenty with you on the other side. I find it hard to believe that when this life ends, that it’s done. There must be another purpose. I heard that we are spiritual beings having a human experience. Are our pets too spiritual beings having a pet experience? I would like to think that it was that way. They are so intelligent and compassionate. I like them better then people just like you. I miss you.

Jimmy Pooky had kittens over the weekend. Three of them were gray like Smoky. I know how much you loved those cats. BB is due any day. CJ has gone missing. I haven't seen him since May. Sky says that he saw him a few days ago. I can't confirm. The lady across the street passed away in March. Her husband said that she was fine on Thursday but started complaining Friday of stomach pains. They got her to the hospital and did a cat scan then rushed her into surgery for a twisted bowel. On Sunday her family took her off life support and she passed Monday. It was so sudden and unexpected. He is moving up to a seniors building near Kincardine. So many changes in such a short time. I miss you and think of you often.

Jimmy I was in your old room today. It was so empty without you. Precious came in with me searching for you and a can of tuna. It was so quiet and peaceful. I know that those last days were painful for you. I know that you shut yourself off of the world with none but Harley to keep you company. If she could speak, I wonder what she would say? Even though my bible studies tell me that when these fragile bodies we inhabit die, our souls cease to exist until the resurrection, I have to wonder? I have attended memorial services where I swear that the one we are remembering is present...silent, but present and the air seems heavier with the presence. I felt that today in that room. I felt that you were there watching. I spoke to you and felt that you heard. I almost heard you call me Annie and laugh. I miss you. Ann

My dearest Jimmy I miss you all ready. I am glad the my Harley Cat was able to keep you company when I could not. Her mom Precious is purring on my lap right now and she is reaching out her paw to touch your portrait above this. All the cats miss you and your generosity with the treats and tuna. Often they still wait outside the window of your former room looking to see if you are still there. You never spoke of your family of origin, only of Michelle and your two kids. You kept your cards close to your chest and never shared memories of a childhood. I am not sure what happened or why but I know that you are now at peace. You exceeded the doctor's expectations and were proud of that. I miss my Harley so much. Never did I not expect her to come back to me when you no longer could care for her. It seems that your family took comfort in her and took her away from us. I hope that she is OK. She was to always remind me of you forever. I miss you both so much. Ann
