I attended Florence's lovely service today. I have such fond memories of working with Florence at Rogers Cable from 1975 until her retirement in 1986. She was a valued member of our Work Order Control department and such a sweet lady - never preached but quietly witnessed her faith by example. I'm sure she was constantly amused listening to us much younger girls as we discussed our busy, crazy lives -- some of us were just getting married, others were having babies -- she happily joined in to all our showers, potlucks and Christmas parties. And hearing about her retirement day today brought back some great memories - it certainly was a day to remember, limousine and all!! And even after retirement, for quite some time afterwards, she would make weekly visits with her container of freshly baked muffins for which we happily paid a nominal charge and thoroughly enjoyed!
My condolences to your family on Florence's passing. I'm sure she's enjoying her heavenly rewards!!
Sincerely,
Shelley Gottwald
