Dear Mike,
Your Mom was our class president when we were at St. Mikes. she kept us laughing. she stood up to Sr. who treated us like children and expecting us to act like adults. Your Mom was the most caring person. I remember many of our laughs so well, even 62 years later. I will never forget her!
One night we got free concert tickets and sat near Massey Hall's roof. Your mom was knitting when, in the middle of an orchestra number her ball of wool descended, falling on the head of a gent below, then bouncing a level lower. We wound that wool up as fast as we could as we giggled like drunken sods, totally out of control.
I remember El asking Sr. MK why we had to be in at 1030pm. Sr. said it was so we wouldn't get pregnant. Your Mom answered that, if she wanted to get pregnant, she could do that on her coffee break.
What a wonderful woman she was! I will never forget her, her Mom , Dad and Grandpa.
Mike, I want you to know that I wish you the very best in life.
Sincerely,
Joan Alexander
