Obituary of Jean Huehn Leslie
Jean was born on July 8, 1925 in Burlington, Iowa, USA and died on May 22, 1018 in Waterloo, Ontario.
Jean was predeceased by her parents Clyde and Mary (Van Swearingen) Williams; her brothers Allen (Lorraine), Bobby (in infancy), Bill (Helen) and Dennis; and her sister-in-law Marlene Williams. Also predeceased by her first husband Milton Huehn (1975); sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law Ruth (Clifford) Dahmer, Harold Huehn, Lydia (Edward) Lackenbauer, Howard (Clara) Huehn, Florence (Oscar) Gole, Bill (Gertie) Huehn, Lester (Hilda) Huehn; her daughter Jean Mary (in infancy); her second husband Kenneth Leslie; and sisters-in-law and brothers-in- law Anne Leslie, Doug (Kathleen) Leslie, and Betty (Don) Murray.
Jean is survived by her daughter Robin; bother Richard (Shirley) Williams; sisters-in-law Jean Kuehn and Mabel Huehn. Jean will be missed by many nieces and nephews and her best pal Toffee.
Jean was born in Iowa coming to Canada with her family in 1935. She graduated K.C.I. where she played girls basketball and softball. She worked for Electrohome, Eatons CDS, Dunker’s Construction and Complete-Rent-Alls. A long-time member of St. John’s Lutheran Church, Jean was active on Council, and committees. A member of KW Allsports, the Moose and Kitchener Lioness, she received the Helen Keller Award and Lifetime Foundation Member. Jean was a longtime volunteer for the Rotary Centre, now KidsAbility. An active community member, Jean’s priority was always family. We will miss her quick wit and loving support.

Visitation will be held at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King St. S., Waterloo on Thursday, May 24, 2018 from 7-9 p.m. and at St. John’s Lutheran Church, 22 Willow St., Waterloo on Friday, May 25, 2018 from 10-10:45 a.m. The funeral service will be held at the church on Friday at 11 a.m. with Rev. Fred Ludolph officiating. A reception will follow in the church hall. Interment at Memory Gardens, Breslau following the reception.
