Obituary of George Jerzyk Urbaniak

Passed away peacefully at KW Health Centre of Grand River Hospital on Monday, May 28, 2018, at the age of 65.

Loving husband and cherished friend of Catherine Sims.  Beloved son of Krystyna Price and the late Edward Urbaniak.  Dear brother of Thomas and his wife Nijole Urbaniak and caring uncle of their children Zack and Tyler.  Cherished son-in-law of Grace and Howard Sims; brother-in-law of Sandra Sims and her husband Donald Brebner, and Harvey and his wife Kathleen Sims.  Will be fondly remembered by his niece Stacey and her husband Ben Smith and nephew Jason Sims; cousin Jasia Baran-Maguire and her husband Al Maguire and their children Kevin and Ryan.

George was a longtime history professor at Wilfrid Laurier University.

Friends are invited to share their memories of George with his family during visitation at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King St. S., Waterloo on Thursday May 31, 2018 from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m.  The funeral service will be held in the chapel of the funeral home on Friday, June 1, 2018 at 11 a.m., with Rev. David Walter officiating.
